An air compressor was stolen from a pole barn located in the 1600 block of Bickel Church Road NE between 11 p.m. Wednesday (4/6/11) and 7 a.m. Thursday (4/7/11). The air compressor is valued at $1,500, according to a Fairfield County Sheriff's Office report.

A local resident wanted to make everyone aware that his neighbor found a 7 inch blade knife in their mailbox. The incident, which occurred in the area of Lawrence and Heimberger, was reported to police. The incident appears to be isolated. They are not sure if this was a "message" being sent to the resident or what exactly the motive was, but they wanted to make others in the community aware of the incident.
