- Roshon Estates Planned Unit Development
In May 2003 residents of Liberty Township were confronted with a proposed amendment to the township’s zoning resolution (zoning code) that would change the zoning of 100 acres of land on Heimberger Lane from RR (rural residential) to PUD ( planned unit development) and would bring an additional 137 new homes into the community.
This land use change was opposed by a majority of Liberty Township’s residents who turned out in force at zoning commission and trustee public meetings on this proposal to express their objections to a high density development.
