LANCASTER --The drug issue is the biggest problem in Fairfield County and probably in the country, county Prosecutor Gregg Marx said.

"Felony drug indictments are up significantly from two years ago," he said. "We had a drug problem in the '90s, but not as significant as it is today. We're having in an increase in all drug-related crimes."

Marx made his comments Tuesday while addressing local tea party members at the Wilson Building downtown.

He said many of those sentenced for drug-related crimes, burglary and robbery come from middle- to upper-class families and from various parts of the county.

"We have a lot more crime in Pickerington than people think," Marx said. "The drug problem is a significant problem across all aspects of society."

Gregg Marx would be a good guy to keep as our county prosecutor. We need someone who can really tackle this problem. He's up for re-election, you know. Any comments on this man?
