Violet trustees told MORPC revising transportation plan - Other Community News - Ohioans for Responsible Rural Development

Nick Gill from the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Committee updated the Violet Township Board of trustees about transportation plans for the region from 2012 to 2035.

Gill said the Metropolitan Transportation Plan is a formal document updated every four years with goals of preservation of resources and neighborhoods dependent on future population figures and travel demands.

The plan can be viewed and comments registered on the website: www.morpc.org.

The Ohio Department of Transportation just announced budget restrictions will set them back on multiple interchange upgrades Gill said.

In relation to that announcement, Gill said at the Jan. 18 trustees meeting MORPC will definitely be revising its plans but it is able to maintain a little optimism in relation to planning for upcoming transportation projects.
